Tankathon is on!

Post by D-train » Sat Aug 08, 2020 3:13 pm

Ok, I am officially in the FUBAR for Kumar camp. I would prefer a hitter but Kumar seems to stand out high above the rest. Other than Crawford, Klew, Nola, Moore, Marco and Seags, this team really sucks.

Good news is we are tied for the #2 spot!

Have to admit, 32 wins seems unrealistic when we're sending out Gordon and Smith as corner outfielders and Dylan Moore plays 1B

What bandwagon? There literally was no bandwagon this season. I optimistically went with 27 wins which equates to a 72-90 season. So I guess I was on the 18 games under .500 bandwagon.

Wow, he has a 5.28 ERA and a 2.08 FIP. That is insanity.

Enough with wasting first round picks on college pitchers.... or college players period.. if they are that good, they would have been drafted in high school! Take the best hitting decent sized speedy high school position player available.... preferable an up the middle infielder or outfielder..

1. Kumar Rocker, RHP, Vanderbilt
Rocker was ranked No. 23 on our Draft Top 200 in 2018 as a Georgia prepster with a ton of arm strength. There were command issues and that, along with a strong commitment to Vandy, pushed him to the 38th round. A dominant freshman year and strong start to his sophomore year, with the same high octane fastball-slider combination but with better command, makes him the clear choice atop this list.

The Great White Ohtani?
3. Brady House, 3B/RHP, Winder-Barrow HS (Ga.)
Depending on who you talk to, House is either a power-hitting future third baseman or a right-handed pitching prospect with a ton of arm strength. At the plate, he has 60-grade raw power with good feel to hit. House plays shortstop now but will likely need to slide over at the next level. On the mound, the Tennessee recruit has a 92-95 mph fastball with a good changeup and decent breaking ball.
