Looks like Cano taught Segura well

Post by D-train » Sun Jun 23, 2019 11:45 pm

All is not well in Philly land. And btw listen to the sports radio guy drill Manager Gabe Kapler about Segura's lack of effort leading to Andrew McCutchen's season ending injury. If I heard a Seattle sport radio guy talking to SS like that it would cause me to would drive off the 520 bridge into the LAKE.

btw for all those that complained about the Segura for Crawford trade.

Segura 66 games .268/.317/.430/.747 OPS 1.5 WAR

Crawford 27 games .300/.377/.450/.827 ~1.0 WAR (his WAR won't be updated until tomorrow but that is my guess after a 4-4 game with a HR)

Looks awfully good at the moment.

We should take a look at how many pieces for the future Dipoto brought in since last offseason.

Take a look at how many vacant roster spots we actually currently have, and see if we think Dipoto can fill them by mid-season next year?

My money is on an easy Yes. I think this time next year we should be watching 95% of the team we will be entering 2021 with.

Personally excited.

Kinda makes ya wonder if Jerry D should have known of Segura’s Cano-like proclivities before acquiring him?

I like Fraley, a hell of a gamer, exciting guy.

Let’s hope he doesn’t rip up his knee, a la Kyle Lewis.

He didn't have them until Cano was his mentor here.

btw Paxton managed to pitch 5 innings Friday and is up to 60 on the season! So glad to be rid of all three of those guys.

Hopefully Gordon is next. Can't believe he dropped that pop up in the 9th today.

My guess is Cano didn't tell him to be a slacker but led by example.
