You’re right about Dipoto, his valuation of pitchers, especially “relievers,” has proven to be awful.

It’s why they are total strangers, they’re dumped before we know em!

I'd argue he has done a great job with the bullpen in general. And, no, I am not referring to this year. There was no attempt to bolster the pen this season. None whatsoever. I don't have any major complaints about the pens he asembled in 2016, 2017 and 2018 - the M's pen ranked 6th in WAR during that 3 year time span. It's the one area I have a lot confidence in Dipoto. As the rebuild moves along, I feel optimistic he'll get a decent pen in place at the right time... at least I hope.
