Seattle Mariners Farm System Ranked....
Top 5 Baby! I know it's the BleachercReport, but they're site has improved slightly over the past couple of years.
5. SEATTLE MARINERS
The Seattle Mariners checked in at No. 29 in our post-draft farm system rankings last season.
What a difference a year makes.
Jarred Kelenic (1), Justin Dunn (3), Justus Sheffield (5), Shed Long (10), Erik Swanson and Dom Thompson-Williams all joined the organization via trade, while 2018 first-round pick Logan Gilbert has taken a major step forward in his first full pro season.
Shortstop Noelvi Marte nabbed a $1.55 million bonus during the 2018 international signing period, and he's off to a hot start in the Dominican Summer League. The M's aggressively promoted Julio Rodriguez after signing him in 2017, and they could take a similar approach with the talented Marte.

Yankee garbage doesn't help other than to make our farm teams slightly more competitive, although Sheffield couldn't even manage to do that.Jarred Kelenic (1), Justin Dunn (3), Justus Sheffield (5), Shed Long (10), Erik Swanson and Dom Thompson-Williams all joined the organization via trade

I'd feel a lot better about it if Sheffield hadn't regressed and been demoted and if Swanson hadn't looked like crap when they called him up to the bigs.
Re: Seattle Mariners Farm System Ranked....
I agree in general about those two but Sheff has looked a lot better in AA and Swanson at least had two really good outings. Maybe he should only start vs. the Native Americans.

Bottom Line is that for this rebuild to work, we have to get two TOR starters out of the farm system. None of the guys in the Big's right now are going to be any more than a #3, if that. Having Sheff disappoint was a huge blow to those hopes.

That's a nice ranking, but the only guys I feel good about are Kelenic, Dunn and Fraley.

Julio and Gilbert?

Hopefully just delay the hopes. Not like he retired.Captain 97 wrote: ↑Fri Jun 28, 2019 4:55 pmBottom Line is that for this rebuild to work, we have to get two TOR starters out of the farm system. White, Kelenic and Dunn make the futures Game. Most orgs only get 1-2 guys in the game.
