You look at some of the pics of these kids and it's hard to believe they will be multi millionaires with another 250k in free college education for having don nothing more than show promise at essentially kids level. Ill be ticked if we don't go for anyone and just let that money lie. We need to perennially bring new talent through and stay nimble.

I wanted Medina tbh a RHP
The top pitcher out of Venezuela and arguably one of the best prospects in the class overall, Medina is a talented young player with tons of potential.

First of all, he has the look scouts covet. Medina has the prototypical pitcher's build: long and lean. He's strong and athletic with room to grow. He's aggressive on the mound and has good feel for his pitches and how to attack hitters.

Medina's best pitch is his fastball and it sits in the 93-97 mph. range. He shows good sink and movement with the pitch along with excellent command. He also throws a changeup and his slider continues to improve.

Medina trains with Yasser Mendez in Venezuela. The Padres are the favorites to sign him.

here are the players the Mariners are supposedly targeting, the approach seems to be a larger quantity of signings as opposed to investing in a single player

So they spent money on non-elite guys. I have seen some come through as unheralded at 16. Jose Altuve is one of them.

I compare the top 30 IFA's ( Arbitrary ) to be equivalent to a top couple rounds of the draft.

#1 in 2019 draft Adley Rutschman
Scouting grades: Hit: 60 | Power: 60 | Run: 40 | Arm: 60 | Field: 60 | Overall: 60 = 5 tool grade 280

The Number one guy in IFA Jasson Dominguez
Scouting grades: Hit: 55 | Power: 55 | Run: 60 | Arm: 60 | Field: 55 = 5 tool grade 285
Robert Puason | Rank: 2
Scouting grades: Hit: 50 | Power: 50 | Run: 65 | Arm: 60 | Field: 55 5tool= 280
#30 Brayan Altuve
Scouting grades: Hit: 50 | Power: 50 | Run: 45 | Arm: 60 | Field: 50 5 tool = 255

Compare #30 in the IFA class to:
M's #15 DTW
Scouting grades: Hit: 45 | Power: 50 | Run: 55 | Arm: 50 | Field: 55 | Overall: 45 =255 5 tool

The top couple of IFA's look like 60 grade guys.
The rest of the top 30 are split between 55, 50, and 45 overall score types.
