Why in the hell would they announce 75% of the field BEFORE the selection show.
We know six of the eight contestants already -- Christian Yelich, Pete Alonso, Josh Bell, Ronald Acuña Jr., Carlos Santana and Vladimir Guerrero Jr. Who will be joining them Monday? You'll just have to tune into tonight’s selection show to find out.

So now we need to sit through inane interviews before that show the full bracket.

I hope Bregman fucks up his swing so bad he washes out of baseball in a year and a half.

Leake strikes out the side for probably the second time in over 1700 innings.

I would rather watch a home run derby with real sluggers rather than guys who hit for average and are benefiting from whatever they did to make the baseballs jump off the bats this year.

Yeah, I have zero interest in this derby. If they would award extra points for hitting them into the upper deck or more than 450 feet than yeah, perhaps. And why only 8 contestants?
