Mariners To Sign James Paxton
By TC Zencka | February 13, 2021 at 9:07pm CDT
The Seattle Mariners have an agreement in place with James Paxton, per Chad Dey of Sportsnet650 (via Twitter). The Athletic’s Ken Rosenthal confirms the deal. Paxton will make $8.5MM on a one-year deal with bonuses that could make the deal worth as much as $10MM, per ESPN’s Jeff Passan (via Twitter).
Paxton returns to the team that drafted him in the fourth round of the 2010 draft.
More to come…

Hultzen, who made his big league debut with the Cubs in 2019 after a long journey to the majors, will join the club's front office under assistant general manager Craig Breslow, Barry Svrluga of the Washington Post reports.
