GT #3 Caught in a Giant Webb, Mariners need to flex their way to a series win
game 2 looked good for KK, but a bit of bad luck on a few HR lead to a no decision, and Streckenrider lost the game. Now it's up to Flexen to find a way to get Mariners back to winning baseball. Hopefully the Mariners can find some power of their own. Would love to see a few HR this game
I suspect Murphy is back at the dish. Marmelejos may get his first start of the year, and maybe they give JP a break for Haggerty. Lineups will be posted below when they are submitted.

Wasn't Dtrains homerun offer for the first game? Maybe he offered to extend it for you guys
I like your chances to win with Flexen Julio!
After all Dipoto has a long history of bringing in pitching talent via free agency.
We seem to be cornering the market on guys that throw 90mph these days.
Fortunately Dipoto has a very discerning eye on pitching talent. Sees things in players that no other GM's see.
Maybe that even sounds like a good thing to some of you!

So furious about this BP situation. Tis the season to develop the kids but he had to "stabilize" the bullpen with veteran "leadership" aka absolute worthless garbage like Steckentrash who is 30 years old and is so shitty hit didn't even pitch last season. Meanwhile Gerber and Swanson and Delaplane are jacking off doing nothing for a month. Not saying they would have been lights out but at least they MIGHT have a future with this term. Last year it was Shaw Hirano and Edwards Jr.bpj wrote: ↑Sat Apr 03, 2021 6:26 amWasn't Dtrains homerun offer for the first game? Maybe he offered to extend it for you guys

JD has done some many good things with the rebuild but I have serious doubts it will materialize because he keeps making these bonehead moves like his true goal in life is to have career record for # of shit 30 something relievers pulled out the sewer. Its F-ing maddening.

When I made my prediction I assumed he wouldn't make the same idiot mistakes with the bullpen. I guess I am the idiot. Him signing over the hill washed relievers like he was is like a crystal meth addiction for him......Donn Beach wrote: ↑Sat Apr 03, 2021 7:53 amYou are the one with the highest win expectation, sound like a good thing to you?

In all fairness, this is how we found Austin Adams. And he was electric when healthy.D-train wrote: ↑Sat Apr 03, 2021 12:19 pmSo furious about this BP situation. Re: GT #3 Caught in a Giant Webb, Mariners need to flex their way to a series win
So that might make him 1/100. btw Adams pitched 31 innings and had a 3.77 ERA in a year that we went 68-94. Had 0.7 WAR. Contrast that with probably the -20 WAR that the other 99 guys of put up and I don't see much of a silver lining.
Regardless, there is zero reason to not let the kids pitch. It is impossible for them to be worse than Dickrider on any level.

5 hits in game one and 6 in game 2 vs. marginal pitching isn't going to cut it. Two guys, France and Fraley have had pretty good starts, the rest have been terrible. Hopefully they get fat off of Charlotte Webb.
