I hope so.. I like Trammell, but he obviously needs to go do work.
We definitely need a new presence in LF at this point, let's see what he's got now that the extra year's secured.
Still time to correct course by the deadline if Kelenic comes up and hits .180 for two months if they make the move soon.

If Kelenic comes up and hits .180 for two months they might as well pack it in and even perhaps send him back to Tacoma. Personally i would prefer he get at least 100 more AAA at-bats.

Hope this is true. Very excited to watch him play, and hopefully he can add a much needed spark to our offense.

Yeah, that's my thought as well. Sure seems poor to say you want to see him in AAA then only give him 6 games. I'd think something in the 20-25 range, would look better

Eh, some kids have the confidence, ability and mental fortitude to come up and not look like total mental midgets on the big stage.
It's a rare breed - but I get the feeling Jarred is as good a guy as any to bust past this notion that a guy needs (x) number of AB's at the minor league level to come up and be great.
ARod had like 600 minor league AB's... Griffey had just under 1,000... Bryce Harper had around 900... Kelenic will leave with around 800 and all the AB's he took at the alt sight last year... and be older than those guys when he made his debut due to Covid.
If he's got the head and the ability he'll be just fine.

He plays with a little bit of a chip on his shoulder doesn't he?
If he celebrates home runs like he does in the minors...might start a few fights in the majors.
We need that imho. More attitude and passion vs. SS.

I saw Kelenic last Thursday -- the guy is intense. The difference between how he carries himself and how Ackley carried himself in Tacoma is like night and day. Ackley just never seemed solid and like he could carry the team on his shoulders. Kelenic seems rock solid. Of course we'll just have to see how things goes, and it was confusing how the M's management handled this promotion: first they said he'd have to stay in Tacoma for a couple hundred ABs, then a few weeks, then . . . ok, 4 games is enough. Irritating. Kelenic looked great, but I sure hope they didn't bring him up too early.
