What might a trade for Haniger fetch the M's from interested parties?

Although I don't really buy into these values for players... I suppose it sets a benchmark of sorts from where to start when considering trades. Why do I not buy it? Brandon Lowe of Tampa Bay has a median trade value of 60... this is in the same ballpark of some of the superstars in baseball. He currently leads the league in strikeouts with 88 and is hitting 6 for 75 against lefties for a .080 batting average and an overall OPS of .679. Kyle Lewis, who has basically had the same career as Lowe thus far (122 OPS+ vs 121 OPS+) only has a median trade value of 33 - yes, he's injured... but still, Lowe is far over valued and I've seen quite a few names that I would perceive as undervalued as well. For instance, Marco Gonzales, while he has struggled a bit this year, has a -8.5 trade value despite the fact that he's on a very team-friendly deal and pitched to a 3.10 ERA 0.974 WHIP and 7-2 record in 2020. He's got WAY more value than they're giving him... they're also giving Graveman a trade value of only 2.1 and we all know dominant relievers fetch more than that at the deadline... so take these trades w. a grain of salt.

Haniger has a trade value of 23-27.6... I'm going to assume his highest value in these trades as a bevy of teams are desperate for corner OF production. The goal of these trades is to get players who are from contending teams that are MLB ready but have years of control and are maybe underperforming/blocked on rosters aiming to win a World Series. Keep in mind, these trades are if the M's are sellers at the break.

Trade 1:

Mariners Get: 3B Bobby Dalbec (11.6 pts) + 2B Jeter Downs (24.7)

Red Sox Get: RF Mitch Haniger (27) + 3B Austin Shenton (4.6) + 3B Kyle Seager (0) + Cash

Why this trade? The M's get 2x solid MLB-ready prospects with years of control. Boston's Enrique Hernandez and Franchy Cordero have been absolutely abysmal this year and leave a gaping hole in the Sox OF. They may be willing to trade a bit of the future away for 2 years of Haniger and an IF replacement for a couple guys they'd be parting with in this trade. Trading for Seager will cost some money, but it allows them to put him at 3B and shift Devers to full time DH. Bobby Dalbec had an absolutely fantastic ML debut in 2020 hitting .263/.359/.600/.959 in 23 games, but has had a very rocky start to 2020 hitting just .201/.252/.397/.649... so the M's buy him while he's at his lowest value and hope he transforms into the 3B of the future. Jeter Downs was the main piece involved in the trade that sent Mookie Betts to the Dodgers... he has been a pretty well-touted prospect and 2019 saw him hit .276/.362/.526/.888 w. 24 bombs between A and AA. He hasn't hit quite as well in AAA this year, but the trade gives the M's their 2B of the future.

Trade 2:

Mariners Get: P Michael Kopech (33)

White Sox Get: OF Mitch Hanigier (27) + 2B Dylan Moore (5.6)

Why this trade? The M's get a future potential no. 1 starter and teams that are in contention for winning a World Series make trades like this all the time to make sure they win now. Kopech is currently blocked in the starting rotation and has come in for relief appearances through out 2021... he's done so to the tune of a 1.72 ERA over 31 innings pitched. He's a dominant righty with a full arsenal of pitches including a fastball that touches 97-98 with movement. The White Sox are sort of desperate for a corner OF as Adam Eaton and Andrew Vaughn have totally underperformed... Luis Robert is on the 60-day IL... and they're rolling w. a pretty scrubby OF at the moment. They also add Dylan Moore as Nick Madrigal went down for the year w. tears in his hamstrings.

Trade 3:

Mariners Get: 3B Nolan Gorman (35.1)

Cardinals Get: OF Mitch Haniger (27) + 2B Dylan Moore (5.6) + P Paul Sewald (0)

Why this trade? Gorman is blocked by Arenado until the end of times. St. Louis is desperate for a trade as they've just fallen to 35-35 and made some major off season moves to make the playoffs. They have a black hole in the corner OF and at 2B where Haniger and Moore fill those voids. They also add a solid bullpen arm to help lockdown the back end up a bullpen that falls off a cliff after their first 4. Gorman would be the M's 3B of the future... he's already in AA and is due for a promotion soon as he's hitting .303/.368/.529/.897 w. 10 dingers in just 38 games - easily his biggest power surge of his minor-league career. He'd be the starting M's 3B by 2022.

Trade 4:

Mariners Get: P Clarke Schmidt (16.4) + OF Clint Frazier (2.4)

Yankees Get: OF Mitch Haniger (27) + 3B Kyle Seager (0)

Why this trade? Clarke Schmidt is a very solid arm who is right on the fringe of AAA and the majors having made a few appearances w. the Yankees where he's struggled. Schmidt throws 94-96 with a plus curve and could also be a future ace in the M's rotation. He's a bit on the older side at 25, but that hasn't stopped the M's in the past and they'd get him with years of control. I think they've undersold Schmidt and oversold Seager's trade values which is why this trade doesn't look quite even. Frazier is a former first round pick of the Indians who has really struggled in 2021 to the tune of .186/.303/.317/.620... but in 2020 he hit .267/.394/.905 in 39 games for the Yanks and had a .806 OPS over 69 games in 2018. The Yankees are floundering and beyond desperate for some OF help w. multiple injuries and basically everyone they put out there struggling. They also need a 2B in the worst way as Rougned Odor is horrific and they can slot Seager right there + have the finances to eat his money.
