It looks like the Umps are trying to make up for all the calls the past 100 years that always have gone the Yankees way.
All Servais needs to do is study some film of Lasorda in full tirade mode..maybe see if Lasorda could mentor him in the offseason...?

LOL Looks like the ump might have a tear in his eye.

Nah...
Servais would take a few steps out of the dugout... immediately hesitate... take a few steps backward while his lip quivers and tears well up... then have an epiphany: "you know, I'm a bit perturbed and so are these young fellas in the dugout, they are really hootin' and hollerin'... maybe I should go out there." But in his delusional mind he thinks better of it, because after all... "that's baseball"... and after a bit of internal analysis the yellow belly thinks, "you know, I should shake my fist a few times to show I'm perturbed, actually... no, I'm down right miffed... this will show the guys I've got their backs" **Shakes Fist at the Ump** Then Seager would walk by him with his .170 average, making $17 million, knowing Servais is just gonna let him Roger Dorn it all year, and give him a look of disgust cause the M's are over this pussy leading the club. THAT'S IT... Servais knows he has to something... so he runs out to the umpire, in his head he thinks, "I'm gonna give this guy a heck of a rough time, you betcha," but it just doesn't look right... the ump seems to be laughing and begging for Scott to say something mean... and all Scott can muster is, "You no-good umpire you. You... you... you..." and nothing... he knows he's a coward, doesn't get tossed, and walks back to the dugout with his head hung like the leash-wearing, wounded dog Dipoto hired while the players all laugh and point, making millions while the team loses cause there's 0 leadership... starting with the manager.

so what happens when you get your robot umpires and there are no more bad calls? If you love seeing a manager race out to argue a bad call, what happens when we eliminate them?

The proper way to handle this is not for the manager to throw a tantrum...but to have your catcher let a fastball find it's way into the ump's mask or chest protector.
So what was this tantrum going to accomplish anyway...?

The thing to do is mark the date of this tirade and then monitor the team's performance from that date on. Sounds like an option that might be available at one of the Stat Services...?

Another thing to monitor would be The Ump's performance on strike zone calls moving forward.
