Re: Tom Murphy
you replied to my question with a new thread? lol...Murphy has shown some more power the last couple of seasons. He has never really been a front line catcher. Dipoto hasn't been shy to move on from a catcher. A lot would depend on who might be available. If SS, 2nd and 3rd are bigger concerns then it begs the question what they do with Toro, Crawford and France. Is Murphy more likely to be starting than one of those?
Re: Tom Murphy
No, believe it or not I had been meaning to start one on Murphy and you pushed me over the edge. Grandal is an amazing hitter but can't fathom why the Sox would give him up. I think kicking Murphy to the curb would result in a worse meltdown than the Graveman debacle especially given his impact on the pitching staff.Donn Beach wrote: ↑Fri Sep 24, 2021 1:34 pmyou replied to my question with a new thread? lol...Murphy has shown some more power the last couple of seasons. Re: Tom Murphy
They should keep France at 1B and will probably keep Crawford at SS. I would like a trade for JRam and sign Semien. Re: Tom Murphy
that's fine, though Im thinking I trade Toro before playing him at utility. But I don't see how that makes them "set" at catcher. Granted there are not a lot of options, should have done it last season. While you are getting Jram, go get Contreras, trade Toro for him .D-train wrote: ↑Fri Sep 24, 2021 1:40 pmThey should keep France at 1B and will probably keep Crawford at SS. Re: Tom Murphy
Yeah you are probably right because Toro can't play SS obviously. If you can get Contreras for Toro, then sure but he is at .760 OPS only 10 points higher than Murph since he got on track after missing a full year.Donn Beach wrote: ↑Fri Sep 24, 2021 2:30 pmthat's fine, though Im thinking I trade Toro before playing him at utility.
