GT Sunday 10/3 - IT'S ALL ON THE LINE! HOLD NOTHING BACK!

Post by seattlefan-daBronx » Sun Oct 03, 2021 5:49 am

Already Sunday in New York but still the eve before out west.
Mariner fans still glowing from a win, watching their team do their best.
Someone will enter post season play after game number 162.
Four teams battle it out for the prize, the question is who?
Will the mighty Yankees get swept by the Rays?
Or can the underdog Orioles find a way to beat the Jays?
Will the BoSox go down versus those pesky but feckless Nats?
For our M's, Anderson takes the mound, but we'll still need those bats!
France, Haniger, Seager, bring power, the middle three.
Antagonizing Angel pitching are Toro, Torrens, and JP.
A sell out crowd will cheer on our team for the final game.
The tiring Sewald will need their energy as thousands call out his name.
MarinerTalk forum will back our boys through it all.
Typing like madmen, watching every hit, strike, and ball.
Cursing and spitting at the screen when the umpires get it all wrong.
Posting Gifs, Pics, and Emojis in joyous unison when a homerun hit goes long.
So get a good rest good friends because the morrow is a long day.
Win lose or a four-way tie, us Mariner fans are here to stay!

Lineups to follow when available. :D

In the meantime, all is not well in Mudville after the Rays demolished the Bronx Buttwipes for the second day in a row. Aaron Brown is on the griddle, going with a diminished Tailon instead of Gerritt Cole with a worn out bullpen, cause he wants to hold Cole in case he needs him for a play-in game on Monday. Boonie is just two losses from losing his job right now. And the recriminations are flying! I love it. Let the Rays sweep today against J.T. and the tired bullpen and watch what the New York papers do tomorrow.

Montgomery lost his chance to be a hero and became less than a zero for frying the bullpen with his short outing. The Yankees managed 4 basehits while the Tampa Bay Rays blistered 19 hits. The Rays have no .300 hitters, their highest averaged player is a rookie, Wander Franco, but they do have an unheralded 2nd baseman on the cusp of a 40 homer 100 RBI season, they have a catcher now playing first base that had a 50 game hitting streak in the minors. They came into Yankee Stadium tired and could have been swept and nothing would have changed for them.... they had nothing really to play for but to rest their players and get ready for the playoffs. Now they have a chance to win 101 games in a division that has four 90 game winners!....They have beaten everyone of those four 90 win teams handily in season matchups. By the way the Mariners have done rather well against Tampa Bay, they've helped us already this season.... maybe they can continue to help us today.... .https://nypost.com/2021/10/02/yankees-e ... -the-line/
