Offseason Plans
Re: Offseason Plans
In 7 seasons from 1977-83 Pete only Kd 223 times. 10 more than Gallo did this season.

For not making the playoffs it really was a memorable fun year. This reminded me of all the amazing moments:

Good lord! Are they going to hang a banner for the winning moment?
Re: Offseason Plans
Maybe they will hang a banner for the fan that catches the most BP homers.Captain 97 wrote: ↑Thu Oct 14, 2021 9:56 pmGood lord! Are they going to hang a banner for the winning moment?

Ah, what the hell! There were some great moments this year.... I'm torn between Toro's Grand Slamo against Graveman and Kelenic's double....I'm going with Kelenic's double by an eyelash, cause Kelenic's success could mean more than Toro's because we've got more investment in Kelenic...

Scott not sold on the BP
“We all understand how bullpens work though,” Servais said. “They go up and down. You can have four or five guys that are killing it, then all of a sudden you show up the next year, and you have a couple injuries, lack of performance, this guy's fastball isn't this It can change in a hurry. So you need a lot of depth. And that's what excites me about our bullpen because we do have depth, and we're adding to it.”

Here is a pretty good discussion on Carlos C. They talk about 10 years but no mention of salary. Injury concerns are there.

I think these shortstops all hitting the market at the same time will work against them and drive their deals down. Plus, if the Dodgers aren't bidding because they have Trea Turner for next year, and if the Yankees aren't bidding because of the luxury tax, where does that leave them?
