And oddly enough only had negative ratings with us. Was actually decent with the White Sox as well.

Raleigh was good defensively this season though so who know.
Sometimes you just get better as you age and as you do it more. It would be odd if he didn't learn some things and improve with any organization.
I think the relevance is Torrens. If he can maintain that 800 OPS and become an adequate catcher that is significant value but they just gave up on him mid season like they did with Omar. Will be interesting if they make an effort with him or consider him a lost cause and settle for him at DH or trade him.
I think the difference between Narvaez and Torrens is pretty stark.

One has some aptitude for playing catcher, the other is about as useful as a dead fish.

Well they didn't agree with you on Omar. Divish indicated his sources made that very clear when they traded him.

I would have made a bet that Narvaez had eaten himself out of catching by now, good for him keeping after it. He just has chubby dude face.

WTF I'm D-train not Jeromy Kron.
I was using "you" in a general sense.

I feel like this has always been an important issue with Ms player development. Besides Seager and Felix, who was the last rookie we developed that flourished here?
Idk why it matters, rookie season or not. We just saw the likes of Paul Sewald, Casey Sadler, Drew Steckenrider, Chris Flexen, JP Crawford and Ty France all flourish in their 2nd, 3rd and 4th seasons. Meanwhile Logan Gilbert and Jarred Kelenic sure seemed to progress well from draft pick to mlb rookies now. That's good development is it not?
