Sodo's Twins trade
Re: Sodo's Twins trade
I see some cross body action in Hancock's delivery. Reminds me of Carson Smith to some extent and may lead to some impingement issues.

They are valuing thousands of players, it will be easy to find some weirdness. Just like PFF.Donn Beach wrote: ↑Thu Oct 14, 2021 4:41 pmand if you are dealing with negative values might not be that accurate...So White for Josh Donaldson?...

I thought you said you don't know anything about pitching mechanics.Donn Beach wrote: ↑Thu Oct 14, 2021 4:08 pmI don't see a violent recoil, if anything, he seems to stay very upright. To me he seems to be more lobbing pitches, seems like a pretty easy motion. He doesn't seem to be drive

Which can lead to other issues shoulder issues, hyper extending his knee coming down hard and turning his ankleCaptain 97 wrote: ↑Thu Oct 14, 2021 3:49 pmhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8CjBepd7gnQ
Doesn't look like he has very smooth mechanics to me me. He has a very violent recoil on his follow through that makes it look like he is over throwing.

throwing his changeup caused the hyper extension of his knee I think landing too hard on the pitchers mound caused his ankle problems who knows what caused the shoulder issues

Re: Sodo's Twins trade
I don't see what the M's are accomplishing trading for Buxton and Donaldson.
I don't think the M's are in a position to pay an oft-injured 36 year old $21 million to pay 3B. Of late, they've indicated they want to accumulate young, athletic talent - he doesn't fit that mold.
Buxton would maybe be fine if he had more than 1 year left on his deal. He's going to want unreal money and I doubt he would want to extend with a Seattle team he's spent 1 year playing for. Buxton is also a huge injury risk. He has been hurt every season from 2018-2021.
The M's aren't giving up Hancock for that.

I never thought I'd ever see a batter pull his bat away from a suicide squeeze... there's no place to hide when you pull a stunt like that... That's like pulling a chair out from under your mother at the Thanksgiving dinner table when she is in the process of sitting down....
