We could be the only team to retire the same number for 3 different players.

Ichiro only speaks English now.Sexymarinersfan wrote: ↑Wed Nov 24, 2021 8:03 pmI wonder if Ichiro is doing any recruiting for Seiya just as Ty France and Marco are for others?
Depends who is better defensively but I would think it would be Suzuki so Haniger to DH would be another option.

I think Story and Chapman could both show up in Seattle and be bigger disappointments than Beltre offensively, despite the fences having been moved in.
At least Chapman has upside so he has a chance. Story not so much.

I don't want Chapman. He is actually a downgrade offensively from Seager. He was 17th in OPS among qualified 3rd baseman last year. The only player I want from the A's Lineup is Olson. He gives you an immediate upgrade at two positions. France is an average bat at 1b (13th in OPS) but at 2nd base he would be 7th. Give Me Olson at 1b, France at 2nd and Bryant at 3rd and you have the #3 hitting 1b, the #7 hitting 2nd baseman and the #5 hitting 3rd baseman.

You really have to wonder what's going on with the BA decline and increase in K's. Even for a high strikeout guy, at this age, you wouldn't expect to see numbers like that. It makes me wonder if something is wrong with his eyes.Captain 97 wrote: ↑Fri Nov 26, 2021 11:25 pmI don't want Chapman. He is actually a downgrade offensively from Seager. That or Semien instead of Bryant is the perfect INF.Captain 97 wrote: ↑Fri Nov 26, 2021 11:25 pmI don't want Chapman. He is actually a downgrade offensively from Seager. How in the love of GOD did this not go through JD's mind before declaring France locked into 1B.Captain 97 wrote: ↑Fri Nov 26, 2021 11:25 pmI don't want Chapman.
