But Bucky is the 1st flash in the pan I thought of. Dae Ho Lee was another. BUt I would also think of Dave Flemming 33 starts as a rookie 17-10 3.38 ERA 5.1 WAR he would end his career with 5.3.
That's a good call, although he put up a 2.0 WAR in his second season so he was at least decent, unlike Mike Parrott who put up a 5.2 WAR in 1979 and then a -2.4 WAR in his infamous 1-16 7.28 ERA season in 1980, then was out of baseball the next year.

I had a beer with Bucky at some local bar in Hermiston Oregon.
Wow, that's awesome. I have interacted with him on Twitter and I am sure I was having a cocktail at least one of the times. lol

Dude!!! I’m not worthy!!!
He is kinda a clown. Not in a good way. One of my friends walked up to me from outside. Bucky asked what was going on outside and he told him some shit-talking and maybe a degeneration into fighting might occur. Bucky replied, Why don't you go outside and keep them away from my Hummer. :o What a dick.

Oh and the bar was called the Midway bar and grill. It is kinda a pool hall, outdoor, dance, bar. They had like watermelon wrestling and stuff like that. It was fun now and then.
I didn't realize Hermiston was in Eastern OR. 1st girl I dated at UW was from Milton Freewater...

His batting line in 51 games as a Mariner reads:

51 162 23 53 9 0 4 27 0 0 23 16 .327 .410 .457 .866 142 74 3 1 0 2 0

Name this former Mariner
It is Senior. He played just 51 games with the M's but hit for a 142 OPS+

He was with the M's multiple years but wow, I had no idea.
On April 17, 2006, Swan was found unconscious after a fall in a stairwell in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. He had been found without a wallet or any identification. Swan died nine days later at a hospital in Las Vegas, Nevada, at the age of 42.[4]

Just so people know, "Flash in the pan" means someone who was really good for one year and then never was again.

I've got Mike Parrott as our #1 flash in the pan. For #2 I think I'd go with Mickey Brantley. Had a really good 92 games for us in 1987 offensively, sucked in 1988, then was out of baseball by 1989.

It's extremely rare for an NBA player to be a flash in a pan, but we kind of had one in Slick Watts. In his third season (1975-1976) he led the league in assists and steals, had a similar season the next year, and then his game took a total dump and he was out of the league by 1979.
