Great place to have an uncovered stadium. The Twins should have to open every season with a 20 game road trip.

Right when Safeco is being built they should I have created a policy mandating that any stadiums built without roofs would be forfeits for any weather delays or postponement

Gee, who could have ever predicted inclement weather in Minnesota this time of year? Remember a few years ago they lost a game due to snow and one of the announcers tore his Achilles playing pickup basketball?

Why in the fuck would they play THIS game in a place that doesn't have a retractable roof? Again, I will say it...if you want to have an outdoor stadium in a place like this, Detroit, Minneapolis, Cleveland or anywhere else similar? Don't give them any home games the first couple weeks or so of the season. Postponing the first game because something that is completely predictable happens? Flat out fucking stupid. I realize this wasn't supposed to be opening day, but still. Don't build this stadium in a place like that and expect a home game!

So I had a chat with twins fan who is the counterpart of Sodo mojo called Puckett's Pond. He was defending them not having a roof because he says it never rains after April and the stadium looks much nicer without it. So one sixth of the season they play in crappy weather because they don't want a roof for some reason.

Does anybody think that the roof on T- mobile diminishes the appearance of it in any way at all? I certainly don't.

Good. 10 straight days of Mariners baseball starting Friday, without the ultra-dumb day off after 1 game.

MLB schedules the day off after the home opener for these exact circumstances.

A postponed home opener needs to be made up somewhere and the following day works best (especially for people who hold tickets to the home opener).

Yeah in this case it's not a bad thing at all.
