I looked up Locklear because I thought he got promoted to Everett too but he didn't. Check this out though. Saw he had a great OBP but then saw he only walked 8 times. It was because he got hit 9 times! LOL France Jr.

Cole Young is about 5 months older than Gabriel Gonzalez, and he had a better hitting slash line. His tool grades are similar to Gonzalez, except for his power grade. If he can develop his power, he could make a jump.
Young and G2 should start out in Modesto. Maybe Arroyo as well, but they may want to keep him in Arizona to try to stick at SS. Young, Celestin and Arroyo... they might just move Arroyo to 2b or 3b
I mean a jump in the rankings, later on during the season.
I know, I was more pointing out how we will be able to compare their bats at the same level

They both played at Modesto last season.

Jesus I didn't realize that Young raked to the tune of a .385 BA at Modesto. Only 10 games so agree he should start there but if he keeps that up I see South Everett in his near Future. Like in 6 months.

I forgot he moved up. It will be a much larger sample for both of them though. Hopefully they both jump into the top 40-50 range with good performance the first half of the season and end up in Everett soon

OK, but I think Young is about rightly rated, and Gonzalez is slightly hyped, although he may live up to his billing.

I think G2 has the higher offensive ceiling, but if Young can stick at SS, that gives him more value and would put him higher in the prospect rankings. SS seem to always get a boost.

Way too small a sample for young but if he can come close to that line which is massively better than GG and given only 5 months older and as you mention a SS vs. OFer then he should be rated far higher eventually.
