Does anyone ever feel like the management of this team is exactly like the evil broad in Major League?

Jerry Dipoto couldn't manage a wet dream.

One problem is Dip loves Toro - he gave up Graveman to get him which made no sense to anybody. He'll be given a long leash before he's cut loose or traded away for anything.

Kelenic needs to go down to AAA though for sure. As soon as Lewis is available - they should swap them.

Sorry, but 99.9% of us would be fired if we failed at our job like Dipoto has. He's failed. Period. End of discussion. Ownership needs to sell to folks who give a shit too. Let's start there.
I imagine I’d be in pretty good graces if I saved my company a quarter billion

I keep saying I think he is now a part of a profit sharing plan where he benefits financially by managing costs as well.

Then that tells everything we need to know about this FO.

Fun, well hopefully Hanniger gets healthy long enough and quick enough to audition for his trade by end of July. Based upon injury history we should not extend him, doesn’t matter how good you are, if you were sitting on the I L you’re not helping the team.

Kelenic and Raleigh need to be in Tacoma or Arkansas. There is reason to think thiugh that Toro and Torrens will come around eventually although they aren't going to be much better than replacement level.
Not sure about Torrens, but sometimes I think the Toro love is just so some can act like that trade wasn't an absolute give up and provided us with nothing but a losing streak to kill playoff hopes and another rotational IFer that can't hit.

Besides one 60 game stretch where he managed to somehow hit above .250, barely, what is it about him that would make us think he will eventually do anything but be below average?

2019 he had 78 at bats and hit .218/.303/.385/.688
2020 he had 87 at bats and hit .149/.237/.276/.513
2021 he had 335 at bats and hit .239/.315/.373/.688
2020 he has 100 at bats and is hitting .150/.211/.310/.521

If he hadn't been a part of that trade, most would be calling for his head right now. Again, he is terrible. Had a run of 60 games where his OPS was .695 and we are supposed to believe that somehow he is going to be an everyday performer? Again, if he wasn't involved in that trade no one would know who he is outside of Seattle and no one in here would ever want him in the lineup.

We could let our pitchers hit and probably get better production.
