How many pitches will Kirby get in start 2?

Post by Vogelbomb » Sat May 14, 2022 3:12 am

Servais pulled him after a dominant 6 IP at 81 pitches in start 1. He was largely going 70-85 pitches thru 5 innings in AA. He has been protected all pro career by this org with the softest of kid gloves you can imagine. I'm not sure what the hell is going on here in their minds. You can get hurt just as easily throwing 15 total innings (season) and 20 pitches (single start) as you can going 250 innings and 130 pitches.

Let the kid pitch. Fuck sakes

Actually believe the science is the issue are the pitches beyond the 85-90. The damage is done when the arm becoming fatigued after the 90 pitch or whatever

Bullshit. Nolan Ryan used to throw 150+ plus even when he was past the age of 40

Every pitcher built different, obviously Kirby has issues in past and should be careful to start until he proves differently
