Minor league players perform poorly

Post by Boisehawk » Fri Jun 10, 2022 2:23 am

I’ve been browsing our minor league teams the entire year so far and for some reason almost all of them are performing far worse that last year. I looked at a few other organization’s farm teams and they are basically the same. I look through the all star candidates this year and nearly the same results. Cal Ralley should nearly be an all star.
I was curious what you all thought was the reason.

Go vote and look at the catchers stats. Let me know if you find more than a couple in each league that you feel is better this year than Cal. I was surprised. He had the second most HR I think. Up there in RBIs too.

Don't think he is close to all-star level but cal is coming along. At .7 bWAR now that put him like league average I believe, making him better than half the other catchers

I agree. My point is that not many players are playing well this year. Everything team looks almost the same with half their team is subpar . Minor leaguers look the same. Why?

I think pitching is dominating the minors the same way it is in the majors. One possible upside is that the next wave of mlb hitters may be more prepared when they make their debuts.
