Credit to Santana in his first game as a Mariner making a really great, key play at 1st. Mid-air tag that prevented a run.

Maybe we see some bat tomorrow.

Winker and Ray getting it going. Can Frazier get his ass in gear?
This win goes to a lot of players. Santana for making a fantastic play to save us. Mountcastle for not touching first and making Julio get out. Winker for a big hit with 2 outs and Hays for finally not making a play. Btw Kelenic coming back. Trammell injured his hamstring again. Gonna need an outfielder to play every day against righties. I would guess he would be our best option. Seems pretty easy to hit in AAA hopefully he can finally get going here and give us another bat we desperately need.

He hit it on the screws his last ab just right at someone. So he is making good swings. So decent debut.

Here's the tweet from Divish.
Kirby unfortunate to pitch last night. Would have looked much better if he had today's weather with probably 3 or 4 HR that would have probably not made it out if the weather was cooler.
The poster formerly known as Kingfelixk. With a new forum comes a new boardname. Julio is my guy, plus we share a birthday, so that's Culiooooo

Btw has any AL starting pitcher have a better June then Ray? He has gotta win the award. Guy has been deadly all month. Only 2 earned runs and almost back to back no hitters. Guy has found his rhythm.

That is true enough and he will be key putting together the run we need. The thing is we have been a bit snakebit I know we put together 20-something like 22-23 in a row of 3 runs or less from the starters and we played.500ish ball 17-14 in the last 31. I think it was 12-11 during the streak but playing .500 or slightly over .500 is not going to make up the ground we need to make up.

Since mixing in the two-seamer, or sinker, Robbie Ray is like a whole new pitcher. This is exactly what I thought he needed to do a month ago, and he did it.

Mariners should trade for the Nevin kid for the sole purpose of sending him down to AAA lol
Is it Phil Nevin's son???

Why was he so resistant to adding new pitches when he was getting lit up for the the first two months of the season? It's not like he had to learn how to throw them, they were already in his arsenal. This makes me wonder what the fuck they have pitching coaches for when obvious solutions takes months to implement.
