You guys are hilarious. You all sit there and bash Kelenic for a 25% k-rate when he's bashing a .900 ops while J-Rod has a 30% k-rate, do you know that? 91K in 297AB. Yeah. The hypocrisy on here is unreal.

Strikeouts suck, but they aren't the killer that they are sometimes thought of. JRod has shown that you can put up healthy WAR and wRC+ figures w/ a high K-rate. Kelenic has potential to offer high slug percentage than Julio. I really do believe that.
We know you do. Lol.

I would love for Vogey to be right but his check is in the mail.

I am more concerned about his BB rate than K rate.

Of course! We'd all love for him to be right.

But there are still people here that would be giving Mallex Smith, Jake Fraley and Braden Bishop "more time".

Kelenic isn't a bust yet, despite Dipotos mishandling of the situation.

If Dipoto had done his job the last two years and put an MLB team on the field, Kelenic shouldn't have even been called up until he was needed this season as an injury replacement.

They put too much on his shoulders before he had even done anything with the bat. His minors numbers were never far ahead of his peers to suggest he could make it in MLB. Once he scuffled he should have been sent down immediately. Instead he was hung out to dry.

Hopefully when he's about 24 he can get another chance. He has option years, no reason to usher him back to the big leagues until he's hitting better than the guys around him.

JK needs to force the M's to bring him up. Not give him a job because of his "potential." Having a 25% strikeout rate in AAA is very different from a 30% strikeout rate in the majors. J-Rod makes pitchers pay for bad pitches. JK hasn't really shown that yet. Let him continue to work on getting his head in place and then force his way into the lineup.

Imagine if he had signed that contract when he was offered!? Wasn't his bigger than Evan White's? Yuck!

I am sure it was much bigger. White was never even a top 100 prospect. JK was top 5. Thank God for his cockiness.

Looks like White was ranked in the 50s. How and why I have no idea.

White will end up being perhaps the worst decision by a M's GM ever.

17th overall pick. Hit for really high avg. 80 field tool.

The M's ruined him by trying to make him a power hitter. He was Ty France with better defense in college. Nobody would be complaining if White was a .280/.350/.450 hitter... yet here we are.
