The M's ruined him by trying to make him a power hitter. He was Ty France with better defense in college. Nobody would be complaining if White was a .280/.350/.450 hitter... yet here we are.
This right here. Also, keep in mind that prospects in the 50's and higher aren't necessarily that great. These are guys with major league tools, but for position players a lot of times there are still major questions about critical aspects of their game, usually hit and power.
