JK in Tacoma. 2022 vs 2021
I didn't realize how much better with K rate and BB rate last season. The trend is not his friend.

It alpears he has become less patient at the plate.

He was also somehow worse this season in the big leagues. OPS 100 points lower as well.Sibelius Hindemith wrote: ↑Thu Jun 30, 2022 6:49 pmIt alpears he has become less patient at the plate.

Just looked at Julio. He has 78 hits in 76 games. JK has 73 hits in 123 games.

It very well could, anybody that knows anything about sports will tell you that it is more to do with space between the ears than physical characteristics. Many people have mike trouts physical capability but nobody has what is between his ears to with physical characteristics
Re: JK in Tacoma. 2022 vs 2021
Here are the actual numbers:
2021 AAA: 15.3% K-Rate, 10.4% BB-Rate (143 Plate Appearances)
2022 AAA: 27.8% K-Rate, 5.4% BB-Rate (147 Plate Appearances)
Someone on Twitter yesterday was saying that his K-Rate in June this year is around 21%, but that's still not very good for AAA, though I suppose it is an improvement.

I've wondered at times if something is wrong with his eyes. You see him come to the plate sometimes and he's kind of blinking and widening his eyes like he's having trouble dealing with the glare.

That's interesting, because something about him reminds me of the seeing-impaired wannabe gunslinger from "Unforgiven."
