This is why I posted that quick comparison of J-Rod and Griffey Jr., plus Ty France and Edgar. I'm beginning to see a light at the end of the tunnel!
Other than being RH and LH hitters, I am really not seeing significant differences in them. JRod has had the insane catches yet or the 50 HR a year power YET but I think both are coming.

I think the Adam Jones trade is one of the reasons you don't see top prospects traded very often anymore.

It is always brought up as the worst trade ever. It was short sighted but I can think of a lot worse ones. Bedard was a damn good pitcher with the Os and was pretty good for us when healthy.

It was more than just Jones
. Jones becomes, arguably, the best center fielder in team history. Tillman serves as a steadying influence in the Orioles rotation for years. Sherrill makes an all-star team before being flipped to the Dodgers for prospects (including pitcher Steve Johnson). Mickolio makes a few appearances with the O’s before being packaged and traded to the Diamondbacks for slugger Mark Reynolds. And Butler, unfortunately, flames out in Delmarva.

Anyone else find it just weird how much Billy B and Jerry D sound alike?

Unfortunately Griffey, Edgar and Randy played together for 5 years before they made the playoffs. Unless we want to wait around until 2027 to make the playoffs, the front office needs to get more aggressive.

Playoffs were much different then with no wild card. Not a fair comparison.

7 team divisions too. 1/7 chance vs. 6/15. Crazy that we were in the same division as the Royals and Twins.

Bedard was a damn good pitcher with the Os and was pretty good for us for four innings per game until his vagina itched.
There, I fixed it for you.
