What are the odds that we would produce another Ken Griffey Jr. or better star from this organization again?!?!
Will JROD be the one to carry the Mariners to a World Series appearance??? Dreams of October baseball.
Right now it's fun just watching him play. That smile and joy of the game is worth the price of admission.
I cannot remember when we had pitching like this either 1 thru 5. Logan, Ray, Kirby, Marco, Flexen.
The bullpen is solid although ragtag. Castillo, Sewald, Giles, Munoz, Murfee, Swanny, Borucki (gulp).
Will Dipoto and management spoil it???
Let's get to .500 or better ball before the break and get a healthy roster.
We've been one team absolutely snakebitten by injuries first half.
Trade some of these dudes and/or prospects for another closer (preferably a lefty) and let's go!
Who knows what magical second half awaits.
Think about these guys getting to play together everyday....
JP Crawford SS
Ty France 1B
Mitch Hanniger RF
Julio Rodriguez CF
Winker LF
Eugenio Suarez 3B
Cal Raleigh C
Lewis / Santana / Toro DH
Frazier 2B
Super Utility Dilly Dilly
* You can alway bring up a Sam I am or Trammell from AAA to give them a "rest day" in the dog days of summer homestands.
There's your 12 on the active 26 letting you still carry 14 pitchers.
oops....just realized you have to squeeze a backup catcher in there for Cal. Thoughts???

Another win to day would be huge, so close to 0.500

I can't watch the game today, but I'll curious to see what Logan's pitch mix looks like, especially against the best hitters. He's been real stubborn about throwing his fastball over and over again and it's hurt him with some HRs. So we'll see what happens.

I didn't realize they were monitoring Kirby's innings pitched.
Which means as the season progresses they'll have to replace him in games at some point.
With that being the case....
I really wish we would trade for another starter.
It's a long season.
All it takes is an injury or taking Kirby out of the rotation and replacing him with garbage like Shefield.
We can't afford it if we want to make the playoffs.
I'd argue that we rely heavily on quality starting pitching and defense to win games.
Our offense is just not good enough to carry a starter.

Question: is this Bil's missed turn? I'm guessing Darren's got it until we lose and then it's my turn, right?
