Per Fangraphs, the Mariner's odds to win the division is a brisk 0.1%.

Edit: They just changed it to 0.2%.

Odds to make the playoffs perking up a bit. Could get close to 50% if we sweep.

For some reason Fangraphs is giving the Marlins only a 7% chance of making the playoffs.

A sweep would pull the Mariners even with the Blue Jays in season records.

The M's need to win one of the remaining games against Toronto for the head-to-head tiebreaker.

Head-to-Head records with WC clubs:

TOR, 3-2, 2 Games remaining
TB, 2-5, 0G
BOS, 1-6, 0G
CLE, 0-0, 4G
CHW, 1-2, 3G

Sorry, I really meant 7% for the Miami Marlins, as they could be a seller. Pablo Lopez, Max Meyer, and Eury Pérez look interesting.

As for the Mariners, 34% looks good, given that Winker, Haniger, Lewis, etc are returning, though some teams are going to make some moves. I'm not sure how aggressive teams are going to be.

Jerry should be hearing from clubs that want to buy and sell.

Oh I get the connection now. lol Don't forget about Trammell. If JK keeps it up we could have a OF of JK, Julio, Trammell by the end of the season.

A guy I wonder about, if he could be available, is Lucas Giolito. He's not pitching so great this year, especially June and July, and he's a free agent in 2024, so probably not part of the long term plan in Chicago. But there's enough track record there to think he could rebound and have a solid August and September. You won't get him for nothing, but I would guess he could be got. And you could give up a prospect like Hancock since you'd have Giolito for next year as well.
