It will be really interesting to see if Kikuchi can handle these guys tonight. If they rack him up, or he pitches himself out of the game, I’ll have lost a lot of what remaining faith I had in him.

Seager and Murphy give Kikuchi two home runs and he serves them right back up. I just have the bad feeling this is what he is and even if he were still pitching in Japan he'd be getting tagged.

I think he will improve next year. If its to a competent #3 starter, or to a fringe # 5, time will tell. He most definitely ins't a top 2 guy like we had hoped.

The hope is its fatigue and adjusting to a new league, losing a father, becoming a father, adjusting to pitching every 5 days instead of every 6-7.

Probably wishful thinking he ends up as good as we hoped, but I think he may improve next season to league average.

If you can't beat the toothless Tigers you don't belong in the big leagues. They should have sent him down long ago but that would be good for appearances which is the most important thing for this org.
