Game Two vs. Angels Haniger's return game thread
Re: Game Two vs. Angels Haniger's return game thread
Bernardino's motion to the plate is very similar to Edwin Diaz. Even the way he stands at the stretch is similar.

But we're the trouble makers... it's like teams are egging on the Mariners, who generally don't respond. There have been A TON of inside pitches tonight.

If you fuck up on defense, what do you have to offer?

Check out Frazier yucking it up with the runner on second. Enjoy your dumpster dive NRI offer this off season .621 OPS weak ass.

I don't think they have the depth to get it done. Teams that have to buy everything seldom make it.TraderGary wrote: ↑Sun Aug 07, 2022 4:43 amBut they're not afraid to "go for it" and pull out all the stops in an effort to bring a championship to San Diego..... unlike the Mariners ownership. That was the point.Seattle or Bust wrote: ↑Sun Aug 07, 2022 4:39 amThe Padres suck. Just got worked by the Dodgers after they made their splash.Donn Beach wrote: ↑Sun Aug 07, 2022 4:36 am
Astros? If I was to pick another team it be the Padres, talk about a fan friendly owner... seems to have picked up where mike illich left off
Clevinger and Snell's best years are behind them. Paddack has completely lost it. Their farm doesn't have any quality arms after trading Gore... and I don't even think he was that good.
Aside from Machado, Soto and Tatis... it's slim pickins. Cronenworth and Grisham have taken big steps back... and the rest are just sub .700 OPS hitters with nothing on the horizon in development because they just traded their whole farm.
Then you look at the Astros and their entire pitching staff is young, home-grown and loaded with the exception of Verlander... they have another stud on the come up in Hunter Brown.
They have legit hitters in Altuve, Bregman, Alvarez, Tucker, Brantley, Mancini... they've developed another young, quality short stop...
It just never stops with these guys.

I would never want to be an Astros fan, but I wish the Mariners organization cared about winning as much as they do.

All the players do that, all game, all the time.
Hell, France is famous for being a favorite first basemen for opposing players to chat with at first.
