Too bad he couldn't have followed up last season with a better one than this. He'll still get some scooped up quickly though.

As far as Kelenic goes I'm, I'm convinced his issues are all completely in his head. There is a hell of an athlete trapped somewhere inside him, but baseball isn't just physical. Yogi Berra once said, "Baseball is 90 per cent mental. The other half is physical." "You give 100 per cent in the first half of the game, and if that isn't enough in the second half you give what's left." Some guys may have all the talent in the world, and it's never enough.

Wow. Will the game winning single be his career defining moment???

I do hope he clears waivers and we're able to keep him.
The kid had "power" at one time just lost his mojo this year.
Who understands this game??!?!

He will end up in someones minor league system. If he was a passable catcher he might get claimed on waivers but right now he is essentially a DH with a .514 OPS. I can't see anyone putting him on their big league club this year.

Am I alone in not seeing anything special from Kelenic? He doesn't appear to be an exceptional physical athlete, average for MLB standards I'd say.

It was never his numbers that made him stand out, so what was it?

When I think of a top prospect it's a guy thats doing better than the others in the team/league. Kelenic had the edge in age I'm assuming, but the numbers weren't eye opening relative to what his teammates did.

Never saw an inkling of anything special with Kelenic. Although Kelenic seemed a little "special" at times if you know what I mean. Smashing bats and all, kid's a headcase.

Pencil him in as the 4th OF, I'm all for that. Just stop handing him playing time for him to squander expecting results.

2024 is the soonest Kelenic should sniff T-Mobile again.
