Ah....all's well that ends well. Comparing him to Torres is interesting. Risker but cheaper and prob more upside...

That's trading to make a trade, why are they trading Norby, is he blocked?

Yeah I managed to stumble on to that. Seems though they might be looking more for ML talent
.The Orioles would like to add experienced starters, and if they don’t pick up Jordan Lyles’ $11 million option for 2023, they’ll have to look at free agents or at the trade market

I'm looking more closely at Norby and would really like to get him. He's the type of player that tends to not get a whole lot of prospect love even though he's given you every indication that he can hit. I think it's just a question of how much the Orioles like him, and if he's on the Mariners radar.

If he hit lefty, there'd probably be no chance of getting him at all. I wish this world series thing would just end so that we can get to the important business of the offseason.

In my opinion second base would be a logical place to fill with a high quality prospect given the cost of replacements.

If Emerson Hancock was our top prospect and was a good hitting, good fielding second baseman, we're probably not worried about 2B right now.

So turning Hancock into that 2B via trade makes sense to me given the state of our MPB rotation.

Then spend the money where the dollar stretches farther, at corner outfield and/or DH.

Nobody could possibly keep a straight face about not being able to use a roster spot on a bat-only type of player after we saw them waste two spots on Toro/Santana plus Torrens and Kelenic being around.

We don't need more versatility than having Moore/Haggerty around, not every roster spot has to be versatile, it's such a stupid concept.
