Joey Gallo is one year removed from leading the league in walks while earning a Gold Glove. The strikeouts are the tradeoff.

The free agent market for second basemen is thin so the Mariners may go the trade route. In addition to Gleyber Torres and Luis Urias, the M's could look at Kolten Wong, Amed Rosario, Brandon Lowe, Cavan Biggio, Ramon Urias, Edouard Julien and Connor Norby.
