I think your dislike for Mitch is irrational. Mitch had a 114 OPS+ this year and a 129 for his career. Gallo was at 79 this year and 109 for his career. Conforto is two years removed from being an above average hitter and is just as much of a question mark with his health as Mitch is. Carpenter is 37 years old and although he had a small 47 game sample size of success with the short porch at Yankee stadium this year, his last three years before that he put up OPS+ of 92, 79,63. I'd put Mitch ahead of Carpenter and Gallo for sure and its probably about a tossup between him and Conforto just because Conforto is younger.

Re: Going to break my own thread starting rules here
Mitch did not play baseball from June 6th 2019 to April 1st 2021, almost two YEARs due to injuries.
Mitch missed 112 days between April 15th and August 6th because of Covid and a sprained ankle suffered swinging a baseball bat.
If being concerned that he is likely to miss significant time in 2023 is irrational then I'm the craziest MFer on the planet.

Being concerned about his health is not crazy. Saying you would rather have Joey Freakin Gallo is about as crazy as you can get. I'd rather have winker playing every day than Gallo.

Ok I am happy to put Mitch above Gallo. How about you? Who would you take with the contract being equal?harmony wrote: ↑Fri Nov 25, 2022 3:14 pmSomeone lacks an appreciation for defense.Captain 97 wrote: ↑Fri Nov 25, 2022 12:16 amBeing concerned about his health is not crazy. Before the trade for Teoscar Hernandez, Mitch Haniger ranked ahead of Joey Gallo. Now Haniger and Gallo may represent roughly equal value to the Seattle Mariners.D-train wrote: ↑Fri Nov 25, 2022 3:17 pmOk I am happy to put Mitch above Gallo. How about you?
