I'm back from the land of the lost, comatose and sorry Mariner fan purgatory for at least one game thread, more should the M's go on their longest win streak of the season. My gut and intuition thinks the stars are aligning for just such a shooting star win streak. We have a piece of the future on the mound tonight, Mr. Sheffield. Tomorrow it's the Return of the King and he's refueled for one or two epic, turn-back-the-clock Kingly performances before his flame flickers and smolders out. Then on Sunday it's this year's "Ace", Marco the Magnificent brandishing his Blue Jay swatter.

Mariners reliever Chasen Bradford recently underwent Tommy John surgery, according to Ryan Divish of the Seattle Times (via Twitter). That makes it unlikely that he’ll return to action before the end of the 2020 campaign.

Chasen only appeared in 12 games for Seattle this season. He hurled in 46 last year for the M's.

I just spent the first five minutes of watching playing around with the color on the set before realizing both teams were playing in their pajamas.

Justus got roughed up a bit in the first, but would have been fine if Crawford was able to make the play.

Nah, poorly executed joke. I was supposed to say Witherspoon got stabbed. You were supposed to say, "With a knife?"
I would then say, "No silly, with her spoon!"
Poorly executed, sort of like some of the M's defense this year. Oh well, jokes are not my strong point.
