So, the deal is there has been some video released of the "victim" of Bauer's beating released showing her waking up in the morning after she was allegedly beaten with her mark free smiling and doing the bragging of being next to a sleeping Bauer.

He is not charged. Suspension lifted. But I think the Feminists of the world will circle the wagons and still insist that he was guilty.

The Dodgers are rumored to be against bringing him back.

It will most likely be an irrational shit show to whoever signs Bauer if he is signed at all.

But, He is an absolute beast

Bauers is one of a handful of players that could be a CY. If the M's add him, you could make the argument the M's have the premier rotation in baseball.

Opportunistic:
Add Bauers, Reynolds, Belt, and Chaffin.

That gives the M's a:

Munoz and Brash lead the guys coming back but I am keen on adding Prelander and Ike Campbell.

Semi-related question: what’s our 40 man roster at right now?

The Mariners seem to want to only sign guys that "fit in" and display really good optics pertaining to their roles as human beings.

I personally try to steer clear of guys like this because it creates an unneeded distraction where all eyes will be on him. Imagine all of the questions his teammates will get pertaining to his actions and it would take the focus off of winning and more toward Bauer the individual. I could see that all going very wrong. I'm not here to judge one's actions as I don't know what happened, but I also can't believe she's just making it all up if it led to this significant of a suspension. MLB must have known details that were alarming.

I also watch his YouTube channel from time to time and can tell he's a little bit psychotic. Something is just a little bit off in that brain of his.

"He is not charged. Suspension lifted."

Some here will say the guy is guilty and are willing to take away his job for unproven allegations. So what if the "Feminists" are wailing and gnashing their teeth! How many are Mariner's fans? 6? A dozen? How many will walk away from the organization or this forum if Bauer is picked up?

Personally, if there are no charges and the suspension is lifted, then I believe that is the end of the saga! If you want to piss and moan about unproved allegations, be my guest. But remember, it could someday be you losing your job over unproved allegations. The line must be drawn somewhere! If the police won't charge him, then there is proof of nothing.

We had a fun little discussion or two about Bauer.

It was a clear gold digging case from the start imo.

The video of her perfectly fine the next morning, the texts showing what she asked for, and there were also texts released between the accuser and a friend that said something to the effect that she was a Padres fan screwing over a Dodger and a text talking about getting money from Bauer.

The fact that MLB changed their tune and cut his ban in half reinstating him immediately says it all imo.

The Mariners are big fat social justice warriors as an org though, so as much as Bauer would probably help the team, they won't want anything to do with him.

Innocent or guilty I don’t care he readily admits to rough consensual sex. By rough I mean choking and beating . IMO that make his character and morals a person I can not root for.

Pretty sure its an unpopular idea but I'd likely give it a try. That would be a hell of a rotation this year and might give us a real advantage if we actually get back to the playoffs. He's a dick but hes got talent. It not like half the nfl hasn't done worse.

Thank you desbcoach. My position as well. Troubling that 7 out of 10 of you would be in favor of it. Am seriously questioning if I belong here.

Everyone, including Trevor Bauer, deserves a chance at redemption.

Elsewhere.

Bauer is likely to be an unwanted distraction wherever he lands ... if he lands.

Even lefthander Luke Heimlich would be a more appropriate target.

It is all moot. We just traded Winker for off field issues and may have traded Swanson because he complained about being under utilized in the playoffs. No way in hell we trade for Bauer especially since he will demand more than a 1 year $3M deal which is likely all Jerry has left to work with.
