Goldy could be gone

Post by D-train » Sun Jan 22, 2023 1:13 pm

I couldn't stand him when he first started and still think he talks too much nonsense but he has Grown on me. On a 1-10 scale with Sims being negative infinity and Dave being 11 I would give him a 6. But apparently this guy would prefer to be a partial eunuch than see him go. :|

Kinda an interesting story, how to the inventor got Joe DiMaggio to endorse it
Marotta, who had signed with the St. Louis Cardinals but was called to serve in World War II before spring training, was a "big fan of Joe DiMaggio," Parente said. He played football briefly with the Cleveland Browns in the late 1940s and continued to play golf "very competitively through his 80s," his daughter notes

I like Goldsmith quite a bit. Even if St. Louis picks the other guy, the mystery candidate, this should be a wake up call to lock Goldy in as the future voice of the Mariners. And if St. Louis does make an offer, I guess they have a decision to make about how badly they want to keep him here, if they even have that option. He's from the St. Louis area, so it could very easily be his dream job.

Love how here referred to the clock and settings area the "Command Center" like it is a Star Trek episode. LOL

Hopefully its Dave Sims. LOL
The identity of the other finalist is not known. A representative of Bally Sports Midwest said the company is not commenting during the hiring process.

Aaron Goldsmith, who grew up in St. Louis, "has yet to win the Washington State Sportscaster of the Year award, three times losing out to famed Mariners Broadcaster Dave Sims."

Some broadcasters are underappreciated.

Now that is complete insanity but I am sure is highly appreciated by the DEI loons.
