Re: Latest Roster projection
Yeah, not saying he is going to be any good, but the deal is we are going to be asking less of him this season than last. All he has to do is hit left handed pitching. And he doesn't have to be that great at it to be better than running JK out against it. For Pollock to be a bust he really would have to regress
Re: Latest Roster projection
Sure but the problem is he is our best option at DH in terms of track record....If Hummel fails we are screwed.

Hey, Tommy La Stella. You know who is listed on the depth chart at DH,...Eugenio Suárez
Re: Latest Roster projection
Torres instead of TLS, Flexen instead of Marco in #5 and a lefty in the pen to replace Flexen (not Marco) and we are significantly better.

Re: Latest Roster projection
I'm hearing the same type of rumors from Yankees fans here in the Bronx.
They seem to believe that the Mariners, Colorado, and the Dodgers have a surplus of pitching.
The Spanks have a surplus of infielders now that Volpe is going to make their roster.
The Yankees are freaking out about all their injuries to starting pitchers with opening day in only 4 days.
If I'm Dipoto I at least think about Gleyber for Flex.
I've watched Torres over the years and he's nothing special defensively but he does have pop.
I'd rather watch G.T. over Tommy freakin LaStella anyday.

Kiner-Falefa makes more sense. More versatile. But I wouldn't be mad if we acquired Gleyber.

As Monty Python would say, “and now for something colerely different …”
This worked for me - but I am not sure if you all click it and wind up hitting a paywall. If not, it’s kind of a fun read: one of those 20 bold predictions lists. Some of them don’t seem too far off - #6 is Logan Gilbert pitching the first no hitter of the season on May 12 against Detroit. That’s very specific.
Anyhow - might be fun to discuss how likely you all feel about these predictions since we have 3 days of no baseball before opening day…
