Re: Latest Roster projection
And I'd do it if it got me across the finish line.

Sure, was just kidding about how cheap the yanks can be . Think it was a trade with the pirates, they had them toss in a mil, thought it was funny

I had actually thought about it, before I posted this. So the fact that you confirmed it just goes to show how accurate we are on the Yanls.Donn Beach wrote: ↑Mon Mar 27, 2023 2:03 amSure, was just kidding about how cheap the yanks can be . My guess is the next two up from Tacoma for the bullpen pile are Justin Topa and Gabe Speier. I'm sure both are crossing their fingers for a last minute Flexen trade.
This team has some question marks. I keep wondering about the middle infield and I'm pretty sure I'd rather have a 3 win player in IKF vs. Tommy LaStella, though I thought the LaStella signing made sense at the time. The more I think about it, the more that trade (Flexen for IKF) makes all kinds of sense. And it's not just JP and his "soggy shoulder", whatever the fuck that means. Kolten Wong is a little guy that doesn't hit the ball hard or in the air, and he's 32, which isn't ancient, but I wouldn't be surprised to see signs of decline this year. There's a very good chance that IKF is just better at baseball right now than Wong.
It also seems like we're placing a lot of hope in JK, Pollock, and Cooper Hummel. If those guys are average hitters, then okay, but I don't know who the team turns to for plan B. Delino DeShields? Will Colin Moran accept an assignment to Tacoma?
And of course we don't know what we have in the bullpen yet. But that's normal, not just for the Mariners, but for a lot of teams coming out of spring training. Matt Moore sure would have been a nice pickup, that's for sure.
