Pitching Matchups for the first series

Post by D-train » Sun Mar 26, 2023 1:23 pm

Remember the Sesame St. bit where they showed 4 things like an apple, a banana, an orange and a shoe and asked which one does belong?

I thought of that when I saw this only in this case it is a Diamond, a Ruby an Emerald and a shit sandwich....
Thursday: Shane Bieber, RHP, vs. Luis Castillo, RHP, 7:10 p.m.

Friday: Triston McKenzie, RHP, vs. Robbie Ray, LHP, 7:10 p.m.

Saturday: Aaron Civale, RHP, vs. Logan Gilbert, RHP, 6:40 p.m.

Sunday: Cal Quantrill, RHP, vs. Marco Gonzales, LHP, 1:10 p.m.
Can't believe I have to wait until 10:10 pm to watch 1st pitch on OD. What happened to the tradition of OD day games. I am sure it will be nice and warm at 10pm in Seattle in the 9th inning. Low of 41 Thursday night. ha

This may have been posted somewhere else - I’m not sure. Apologies if this is an exercise in redundancy, but I found a pretty good breakdown of the M’s rotation, calling it the best in a generation:

I believe the M’s pitching is being generally underestimated, but apart from Marco who, on a good day, is a good innings eater, the top 4 are phenomenal.

This related link has them with the third best rotation in baseball behind the Mets and the Braves:

Servais was going on the other day as if the rotation was being disrespected, can't find it now.

It's Kirby's energy they want to conserve
. George Kirby, who is throwing fifth to save his energy in the first month of the season./quote]
