There's a great article out by The Athletic on K-Lew and his offseason as well as what happened last season with his demotion.Donn Beach wrote: ↑Wed Mar 29, 2023 10:37 amSpeaking of spring training, Kylie Lewis's .429/.529/.857/1.386

How many current No. 5 starters made 32 starts, including 18 quality starts, over 183 inning last season like Marco Gonzales did?D-train wrote: ↑Mon Mar 27, 2023 11:05 pmThe could have traded Marco and paid 90 percent of his salary, Flex a at 5 and a lefty in the pen and they would be far better off. They traded their lefty specialist in Swanson who gave up barely over .500 OPS vs. lefties with Gott who gave up about a .800 OPS vs. lefties.
The advanced metrics are down on the three-time Opening Day starter, but the veteran lefthander has value in his current role.
Re: Roster is set
Did I miss something - what's with the 3 catchers?
Re: Roster is set
Hummel can play multiple positions and DH. He also also them to DH one of the other catchers when they are catching which is good thing since we don't have a DH.

Completely irrelevant given I provided a superior option.harmony wrote: ↑Wed Mar 29, 2023 9:12 pmHow many current No. Marco had a 10-15 record (.400 winning %) on a team that had a .556 winning percentage.D-train wrote: ↑Thu Mar 30, 2023 1:06 amCompletely irrelevant given I provided a superior option.harmony wrote: ↑Wed Mar 29, 2023 9:12 pmHow many current No. That's the definition of dragging your team down. Who cares that he had 18 quality starts when the other 14 starts were implosions where he gave the team no chance to win. He hands more games away than any other starter.
He's dead last in WAR for qualified starters. He's a full 1.0 WAR lower than the next worst SP.
It's not just advanced metrics that are down on Marco. It's everything that is down on Marco. Because Marco sucks.
