In a sane would this game would be a lock for a win but given baseball and Mariners I feel like putting my life savings on the Cubs.

In b4 Scott pulls Castillo at 89 pitches and b*tches all week about bullpen usage

This likely belongs in the last Guardians game thread, but enh...I am sticking it here anyways. Apologies if this was mentioned somewhere else - but I don't remember seeing it.
The Guardians winning the series against the M's has bigger implications than mere bragging rights:
"By winning the season series, the Guardians hold the postseason tiebreaker over the Mariners. MLB and the MLBPA agreed to eliminate Game 163 tiebreakers as part of the new collective bargaining agreement so all ties are broken mathematically now. Here is the tiebreaker formula:
Head-to-head record.
Record within the division.
Record against teams in the same league but outside the division.
Record in last 81 games against league opponents.
Record in last 81 games against league opponents, plus one until the tie is broken."

This can't be possible. I keep hearing it is early and these games don't really matter.Big_Maple wrote: ↑Mon Apr 10, 2023 8:18 pmThis likely belongs in the last Guardians game thread, but enh...I am sticking it here anyways.
