Batting averages of our five new players

Hernandez .254
Pollock .125
Wong .106
Hummel .095
LaStella .077

How is this even possible? Seriously, HOW?!?

Hummel and LaStella never should have been on this team in the first place. LaStella's career in particular ended in 2022 and nobody told the Mariner organization.

It's just mind-blowing to have four players hitting a combined .100 after 17 games. This has got to be the first time in MLB history this has ever happened.

Omg this beyond stupid. They might as well call up an extra BP arm and let the pitchers hit.

They built their lineup from the bottom up, instead of the top down.

In my opinion, France, Hernandez, Raleigh, and Suarez are all good #5 or #6 bats in a good lineup.

The Mariners thought they could get away with replacing the guys that bat 6th-9th.

They needed to add MOTO bats and instead they visited the scrap heap for retreads again.

They should have added players that pushed Hummel and Kelenic, and even Haggerty, down the depth charts so they were next ones called up, instead they tossed them as Plan A in the lineup and now they're calling up more AAAA guys because they didn't add that depth at the top.

They didn't go all in, or even 60% in. Wong's been a good player and I think he'll be better than he is right now, but 2B is a hard slot to fill, a position of weakness across the league. DH is the big one. It's just mind-boggling.

I love when the ass kissing water carriers say, THEY COULDN'T SIGN A DH THAT CAN HIT, IT DOESN'T ALIGN WITH THEIR ROSTER CONSTRUCTION PHILOSPHY!!

So if they decided to have 26 pitchers on the roster would they say, we can't acquire any position players because every player needs to be able to pitch well enough to get major league hitters out!!!

I think they meant that they could find any DHs with .300 batting averages that would play for free.
