Saw that, has the mariners re-build worked out better than the white Sox? Theirs began back when the mariners were still trying to make the playoffs didn't it?

Yet to be determined. They made the playoffs twice. Finished 8th in OPS in 2020, 7th in 2021. 6th in team ERA in 2020, 5th in 2021.

The M's have made the playoffs once. Finished 14th in OPS in 2022, 8th in team ERA. This year the M's are trending way down at 26th in baseball in OPS, are 9th in team ERA.

I'd say the M's rebuild isn't going too great in '23. Up to them to determine if they're going to fall apart like the White Sox did or actually learn how to hit a fucking baseball for once.

White Sox made the playoffs in the 60 game season. Seemed like we had a bet. I was promoting the WS and you were defending the mariners, maybe another wash

Not their fault it was a Covid year. You don't think a team that's top 10 in hitting and pitching doesn't make the playoffs over 162?

Regardless. I'm not defending the White Sox's fall off. Not even sure why it's necessary to compare their rebuilds?

How do you feel about the M's rebuild Donn Beach? How do you feel about the fact that they can't seem to trot a competent offense out there in year 4?

I have no idea if they make the playoffs in 162 games. The bet as I remember it was I had the WS making the playoffs before the Mariners. I wasn't going to take credit for a 60 game series but if you insist it's okay by me.

.238 .371 .734 on the season and .275 .431 .425 .856 over the last 2 weeks.

They have moved him up to the 7th spot but I like his near .400 OBP to loop around to be on base for Julio-TY-JK.

But I know JP is a sore spot for many. The fact that we didn't sign one of the all star level SS the last 2 years is probably front and center.
Just a quick update: He is 10th in WAR among SS in all of baseball and has a .721 OPS good for a 107 OPS+

Just 206 points lower than he was last year at this time. Hopefully he doesn't tank again for 5 months like he did last season.

Everyone in the media is saying that JP has "refound" himself. I seem to remember over the past couple of years that JP typically begins the season as a fairly viable leadoff hitter and by the time June rolls around, he tapers off to someone we'd rather put in the #9 slot. Jury is out, my friends. I'll wait and see.
