It’s time for Jake Scheiner.

Post by Juliooooo » Tue May 23, 2023 5:35 pm

He’s tearing it up in Tacoma, which itself isn’t that surprising, but looking further into it, he has 33 BB and only 36 Ks in about 230 AB. He plays multiple positions so he can play for France, Geno and play LF occasionally or DH. He’s a right so he makes Pollack expendable. What more does a guy need to do to be given a chance?

His K rate took a hit every time he moved up, but he adjusted and learned each time. Not a bad OPS for a right in Arkansas last year as well

I don't see why not. Former 4th round pick who hasn't really ever been terrible in the minors.

He improved his BB/K rate massively in '22. Hit 21 dingers in AA.

Might as well give him a look.

He embodies the CTZ philosophy, and is versatile. If they aren’t going to reward those guys that buy into their philosophy and give them the chance, then wtf are they even doing?

It's an odd shift in philosophy.

Then again, 2 years ago Dipoto basically said we would never be trading Brandon Williamson, Noelvi Marte, and Edwin Arroyo because it is not within the organization's best interest to trade top, young talent and spending money would be more prudent.

Now we're a "draft, develop, trade" organization???

So who knows.

draft develop and trade but don't play any of the guys in the minors that have earned a shot over the riff raff you signed and traded for in the Majors.

Is Pollack deemed worse than Slag Heaperty at this time? I assume Wong is the first one to go.

If Moore is healthy then it's time for Jerry to admit he gambled and lost on Wong and move on.

Sam is the first to go because JD didn't waste money on him.
