Framber has had a rough go of it of late.

In 5 of his last 6 starts he's allowed 25 runs in 25ish innings and his ERA has raised from 2.51 to 3.31.

Mariners are better off they don’t make those trades with reds. Fraley, Williamson, Marte, Arroyo, Connor Phillips… we have 1 extra starting pitcher and a 3B with a .700 OPS out of it, and about 30 million more in payroll.

It would have been a good trade for the Mariners if they had been actually going for it and added several other pieces. But instead it was seen as sufficient to keep fans fat and happy and compete for a wildcard.
