GT M’s verse The Royal pains
GT M’s verse The Royal pains
Singer up for KC vs Miller. Singer did well against us last time 2 earned runs over 7 inning but we scored against the BP and Brash blew the save for a sad recap. Lineups later

Re: GT M’s verse The Royal pains
Does anyone know where one could find MLB team stats for bases-loaded run production? The Mariners lead the league in stranding baserunners in scoring position and have the lowest success rate at advancing a baserunner that is on 2nd base with no outs and 3rd base with less than 2 outs. I found those stats on these pages...

In particular, i'm interested in seeing a table ranking teams by how many runs they produce on average with bases loaded and no outs. I am sure the Mariners are worst in the league and i wonder if they have been historically bad.

I guess i only started paying attention to it in the past 2-3 months where they've failed to score any runs numerous times. I'd still wager they are worst in league at it but definitely not historically bad.
Re: GT M’s verse The Royal pains
I could only find it with bases loaded and we are 8th of 30 with a .886 OPS.Sibelius Hindemith wrote: ↑Fri Aug 25, 2023 4:47 amDoes anyone know where one could find MLB team stats for bases-loaded run production? It is likely a case of not scoring with bases load and no outs is traumatizing and thus more memorable.
Like if you cross the street on foot 1000 times you remember the time that you got hit by a bus but don't really remember the other 999 uneventful crossings.

I agree, it's available at fangraphs and baseball reference. I'm really not that good at manipulating those sites. Somebody else could do it easily, looking at you Darren

And there you are, they don't have situations? I think I ve seen it, like in the splits section... notice how a cat will almost get hit by a car and totally freakout, but a few moments later they are like totally over it. They are great at compartmentalizingD-train wrote: ↑Fri Aug 25, 2023 11:45 amI could only find it with bases loaded and we are 8th of 30 with a .886 OPS.Sibelius Hindemith wrote: ↑Fri Aug 25, 2023 4:47 amDoes anyone know where one could find MLB team stats for bases-loaded run production? I tried FG but didn't see situational options. Let me try BR.Donn Beach wrote: ↑Fri Aug 25, 2023 11:45 amI agree, it's available at fangraphs and baseball reference. I'm really not that good at manipulating those sites. Somebody else could do it easily, looking at you Darren

Re: GT M’s verse The Royal pains
We talked about it awhile ago, I found that a team should score like 86% of the time with the bases loaded and no outs, and the mariners were terrible at it
Re: GT M’s verse The Royal pains
Larry could only find total bases loaded stat too. Can't believe it isn't tracked somewhere.
