Reds manager David Bell said Sunday that McLain (oblique) will be out for another 2-to-3 weeks, Charlie Goldsmith of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

Geno finally gets a day off. Funny all the younger guys needed days off before him.

It blows me away that a team that has had, what, three 8 game win streaks recently? Can bat Cal Raleigh 3 and Canzone and France 5 and 6! It wasn't that long ago everyone wanted Teoscar gone, and now he hits cleanup!? When ever I get pissed that this team is pissing away a chance to build a lead in the division, I try to remember that the offense is really a big shitstorm and it is pretty much a miracle we are where we are.

I hope they didn't pass on any good deadline deals involving Woo.

He looks like we'll have "strained forearm" news any day now with Tommy John shortly behind that.

So we are up against a debutant pitcher who was born in Houston, Texas and former M. What could possibly go wrong over the 2.5 hours or so?
